Keep the observatory open
Everything here is free, and will stay free: every story, table and number, for anyone to read, check and reuse. It is kept by two researchers, in their own time and with their own money. If it is useful to you, you can help keep it open.

Any amount helps. Support is a contribution to the work, not a purchase, and it is not tax-deductible: the observatory is not yet a registered charity.
What it keepsWhere your support goes
- The site and its filesThe hosting that serves every page, figure and table, and the storage that keeps every table the observatory has built.
- The records and their readingMoSPI's unit-level records, the computing that reads them, and the checks that hold every number to MoSPI's own print.
- The timeThe weeks it takes to read a survey carefully, find what it says, and write it so that anyone can follow.
What does not changeFree, and independent
- No paywall, no registration and no advertisements, ever. Text and figures stay under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
- Support buys no say. No reader or funder sees a story before it is published, or changes one after.
- The observatory is funded only from India. Indian law lets it accept contributions only from Indian citizens, whether they live in India or abroad. If you are not an Indian citizen, please do not send one; reading, citing and sharing the work helps as much.
Other waysHelp without money
Cite the observatory when you use its numbers, share a story with someone who would read it, and tell us when something is wrong: contact@digitallabour.tech. Institutions that would like to support the work, or commission an analysis, can write to the same address.
